Personal relationships with the land will be investigated as well as interdisciplinary concepts. Students may work in a variety of mediums such as painting, drawing, sculpture, and photography. Informal critiques and dialogue will be provided though-out the course. The college, with the submission of a liability waiver, provides transportation to the sites.

CAMPING and HOTEL accommodations will be booked through the instructor and at the cost of the student. An option for both camping and hotel arrangements will be available. Camping is encouraged and will be at the site, the hotels may be some driving distance from the site. Contact instructor for more information.

Hike to Ruins
By Karen Hiller

Our Hike to the Ruins was a great deal of fun, however just 3 people turned out of the 10 possible. Last minute changes in plans for several paid participants reduced our numbers. Our guide, Larry Hincha and his partner Robert Cooper, took us on a 6 hour, 6-mile hike. We forded creeks, climbed rocks, found potsherds and knapped stone chips, and studied a hollow that may have been used as a kiln. It was a beautiful day in the Superstition Mountains. Wish more could have joined us, but it may be something that we could consider sponsoring again. For more information on our guides, visit http://superstitionwildernessadventures.com/index2.html
