Deadlines

Nominations must be submitted to the AAEA Awards Committee Chairperson by June 30th

The Nominee must submit supporting materials by July 30th (a one page resume, two letters of recommendation, photo and pertinent information).

Award Selection

The Awards Committee will assess nominations based on a corresponding rubric for that particular award.

This timeline allows the selection committee sufficient time to review documentation, verify membership, make final decision and submit the names of the winning recipients to AAEA Council.

Award Presentations

Upon notification, each award recipient is asked to attend the awards banquet at our annual state conference to be honored and receive his or her award.

Arizona Awards are presented in the fall at the annual AAEA Conference. Winners are also announced in the AAEA newsletter. National Awards are presented in the spring at the annual NAEA convention.

Press Release

Upon notification, each award recipient is asked to provide pertinent information so press releases may be sent by AAEA to employers, local media, art departments, school administrators, etc.

Be sure to submit to the AAEA Awards Committee Chair the following for all award nominations: A Nomination Form, a one-page resume, two letters of recommendation, a jpg image and pertinent information so press releases may be sent by AAEA to employers, local media, art departments, school administrators, etc.
